Jianghan Salt&Chemical Complex(JSCC) is located in the beautiful and richly endowed Jianghan Plain,new and developing city-Qianjiang, 160 km apart from Wuhan to the east,and bordering on Jingzhou 70km to the west.It has a very convenient transportation system.The Yichang-Huangshi,the Xiangfan-Yueyang expressways and Hanjiang,the biggest tributary of Yangtze River run through it.
Jianghan Plain reserves rich underground salt and brine resources,Both of them are distributed over an area of 1600 square kilometers,and the geological reserves are respectively 700 billion tons of rock salt and 100 billion cubic meters of brine which is rich in elements of Li,Br,Rb and Cs etc.Besides sodium chloride,JSCC supplies good quality and low price refined brine to customers.
JSCC is a multiple-producing enterprise subordinated to SINOPEC.It has 5 plants,including salt & sulphate plant,chloralkli plant,CAPO plant,thermal power plant,daily-use chemicals plant,etc.The technical process and key equipments of producing salt and sulphate are both imported from Sulzer Escher Wyss of Switzerland,the FM-21 electrolysers are from ICI company of United Kingdom,the ion-membranes are from Dupont of America and Asahi Chemicals of Japan,the advanced world level Now JSCC has 1400 employees that includes 30% of them having received higher education,10% being engineers and senior engineers.
It is engaged in 20 kinds of products such as refined salt,anhydrous sodium sulphate,IM (ion-membrane) caustic soda,liquefied chlorine,calcium hypochlorite,industrial hydrochloric acid,purified hydrochloric acid,and Hancan Bodyguard disinfectants.JSCC is always attaching importance to total quality control.Now it is one of the designated salt manufacturers and has got the certificates for producing edible salt and diversified salts.The quality of table salt ranks first among the salt producers by their sampling comparison,therefore it won the title of trust-worthy product by customers in Hubei,The IM liquid caustic soda is one of the famous brand products in Hubei province.Calcium hypochlorite(sodium method) was examined as a major new product by China National Science and Technology Ministry.Having established a perfect quality system,JSCC was awarded ISO9001 certificate in 2001.IN 2002,JSCC's SUPER-CHLOR Product registration in America was approved by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In 2005,JSCC becomes the first enterprise which get the certification of safety production in Hubei province.
